A tool to help: Fantasy Football Fix

Another third-party tool we’d like to mention is Fantasy Football Fix. Again, no affiliation whatsoever, but there are some great features available that very few FPL managers know about.

The site is awash with statistics, transfer suggestions, fixture difficulty rankings, rotation planners and much, much more. However there is one specific aspect we’d like to focus on. That is the ability to find out who your mini-league rivals have transferred in before the gameweek deadline. Yes you read that correctly: before the gameweek deadline.

If you opt for the ‘MiniLeague Pack’ (£2 per month at time of writing), you can select up to 10 rival FPL managers on whom to ‘spy’. You can then choose to receive email notifications as soon as the spied-on rival makes a transfer that tells you who they’ve sold and who they’ve bought with 95% accuracy. It’s worth noting that the system can only provide details if just one transfer is made. If there are two or more, then the number of variables increases too greatly to allow for an accurate estimation since the software looks at the fluctuations in a team’s value in order to determine the most likely transfer.

Our top tip is to spy on the rivals that you think will be closest to you in your mini-league, as well as a selection of some of the world’s finest FPL players. There’s nothing like learning from the best and knowing how the best players in the world are approaching their transfers can help inspire you to some excellent decisions. Another site, Premier Fantasy Tools ( www.premierfantasytools.com ) has a handy list of the top 250 FPL players of all time so you can easily access their team ID and then track their transfers in real time back on Fix.

Another great feature of the MiniLeague pack is that it provides you with differential transfers suggestions based on the players in your mini-league. Whereas most tools will only tell you who the best differentials are in the entire game, Fantasy Football Fix will assess the players that your direct rivals have and suggest differentials on that basis.
